MISSOURI — A Missouri man admitted to police last week he illegally tattooed a missing child from Kansas.

According to court documents, Jordan MacMullen has been charged for tattooing the child on Jul. 14 at his residence in Polo, Missouri, near Kansas City.

MacMullen was allegedly a friend of the man who abandoned the child, and MacMullen had brought the child to his residence.

At MacMullen’s home, the child told police he gave them two tattoos, one of which was on their back. Four days later, MacMullen allegedly abandoned the child at a campground called Hideaway Lakes in Polo.

The child then called police and reported they had been missing from the state of Kansas and had been in the company of MacMullen. The child revealed the tattoos to police, which were red and appeared to be new.

Police later arrested MacMullen on Jul. 23 during a traffic stop, and he was found with methamphetamine in his vehicle. MacMullen admitted to police he gave the child two tattoos, which he was not licensed to do. He voluntarily provided police with the tattoo gun used on the child.
