Extreme heat wave covers most of Georgia next week: See where heat index could be 110 degrees

A powerful and prolonged heat wave is blanketing nearly all of Georgia, with Tuesday's temperatures pushing well into the triple digits across much of the state.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), heat index values could be as high as 110 degrees Sunday through Wednesday.
