PALM BEACH GARDENS — An Aldi grocery store, Starbucks, gas station and other shops are coming to the western edge of Palm Beach Gardens near the Avenir and Acreage neighborhoods.
At nearly 22,000 square feet, the Aldi will be on the larger side compared to other versions of the grocery store that prides itself on selling quality products at low prices. It will likely open in the spring or summer of 2026, according to Allan Carlisle, the agent for the shopping center where it will land.
It will be the first Aldi in Palm Beach Gardens, joining the city’s network of grocers — many of which are health-food stores.
Northern Palm Beach County has two other Aldi stores, one in Jupiter and another in Lake Park. The Palm Beach Gardens store will be a part of the Coconut Crossing development now under construction on a 29-acre site at the southwest corner of Northlake Boulevard and Coconut Boulevard.
The businesses at the center are following thousands of new residents in Avenir, the growing community at the western reaches of the city. There is a need for more shops in the area, according to Carlisle.
“It’s an incredibly affluent area and there's a ton of residential development going on,” Carlisle said. “That area is pretty underserved as far as retail and services go. … It was really just a no-brainer for the developers here."
What else is coming to Coconut Crossing in Palm Beach Gardens?
Construction on the shopping center started around four months ago.
Aside from Aldi, it will welcome a Starbucks, Wendy’s, 7-Eleven, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Heartland Dental, Eco Car Wash, Noire the Nail Bar, Marco’s Pizza, Go Green Dry Cleaner, Fifth Third Bank, Luxe + Mane and Dag Men's Barber Shop among its shops.
The tenants each have different timeframes for when they plan to open, Carlisle said. Some tenants, including Aldi, 7-Eleven, Wendy’s, Eco Car Wash and Heartland Dental, will construct their own buildings and others will use space built by the developer, Konover South. Businesses can move into this space by early next year, according to Carlisle.

The shopping center will have nine buildings total and still has some space available for other tenants. Avenir Town Center, which will have a Publix, restaurants and other stores, is rising across the street.
“The market will only continue to improve as more and more of those residential developments are built out,” Carlisle said. “Its really going to become the premier retail and restaurant service corridor in that part of Palm Beach Gardens.”
