The start of the new term is on the horizon and that means you may be taking more people to and from school than before. Whether it’s more space or a more efficient driving experience that you’re after, a change of car can help when heading to school and back.

While there are loads of options out there, to make things easier, we’ve picked out some of the best to make choosing easier.

Skoda Kodiaq

The Kodiaq is currently the largest SUV in Skoda’s range, offering loads of space that can help to make transporting larger groups of people easier. As with all Skoda models, you’ll find plenty of ‘Simply Clever’ features equipped on the Kodiaq, too, including handy door bins to keep things tidy.

Available with up to seven seats and with a range of engines, the Kodiaq is a great all-rounder for families.

Renault 4

One of the more stylish options for back-to-school drivers could be the Renault 4. Larger and more practical than the Renault 5, the 4 has a decent level of space for those sitting in the back of the car, while a well-sized boot is handy too.

A range of over 250 miles means that the Renault 4 can handle multiple trips to school and bacl on a single charge.

Audi Q5

The recently updated Audi Q5 has all the same great features as its predecessor with a healthy dose of extra technology and style. A large central touchscreen is a real highlight, as are the reassuringly rugged buttons used at the front of the cabin.

As with the previous Q5, you can get this new version in both standard SUV and coupe-esque Sportback setups, should you want.

BMW 3 Series Touring

The BMW 3 Series Touring is a great choice for families that want a car that’ll do it all. With a large, practical boot and a refined driving experience, the 3 Series is a great all-rounder that’ll deliver no matter where you’re off to.

While diesel is no longer available on new 3 Series cars, petrol and plug-in hybrid options remain.

Kia Sorento

Kia’s Sorento is a large, comfortable and well-specified SUV that comes with lots of equipment as standard. It’s well-made, too, and incorporates many high-end materials inside that help to boost that premium feel.

Plus, you get Kia’s impressive seven-year warranty as standard which should help to take any mechanical worries away.

Omoda 9

There has been a huge number of Chinese-made cars arriving in the UK lately, but the Omoda 9 is one of the best and most family-focused. It’s got acres of space inside and has all of the equipment that you could want.

The plug-in hybrid 9 also gets an electric-only range of 93 miles – one of the very best that you’ll find in the PHEV segment.
