
NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – A new report from the New Mexico Tourism Department said it was another banner year for the state’s tourism industry. The industry raked in $8.8 billion in direct visitor spending in 2024, which is $200,000 more than the year before. It’s the third record-breaking year in a row.

New Mexico saw 42.6 million visitors last year, another increase from the year before. It’s the first time New Mexico has surpassed 42 million visits in a calendar year.
