And It's Got 1,000 HP
Stellantis has stuffed its supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 into sedans, coupes, SUVs, and a pickup truck, but so far there's one type of vehicle that hasn't been blessed with this powerful engine: the humble minivan. The amount of engineering required to create a Chrysler Pacifica Hellcat likely wouldn't be justified by the miniscule sales of such an oddity, but such a project is perfect for tinkerers and tuners.
Rich Benoit, host of the YouTube channel Rich Rebuilds that gained prominence with Tesla rebuilds, has created what he claims is the first Hellcat-powered minivan. It started out as a Chrysler Town & Country and received an infusion of parts from a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. Now, instead of haunting school parking lots, it's made the drag strip its home.
Sleeper Minivan

The Hellcat decals, Plum Crazy paint, lowered suspension, and Dodge Grand Caravan grille mark this minivan as something other than stock, but they still mask the extent of the modifications. The front-wheel drive Town & Country was converted to rear-wheel drive, and received electronics, suspension, and other components from the donor Charger.
The Charger transplants even extend to the interior, which includes the complete dashboard, center console, and seats from the Dodge. Given the complexity of the wiring in many modern cars, that might have been the easiest away to avoid error codes. A roll cage and new door panels were installed as well, and the minivan retains seating for five. It doesn't look like there was room for a third row or Chrysler's trademark Stow 'n Go seats, though.
This Hellcat transplant looks like a big success. Benoit took his creation to Detroit's Woodward Dream Cruise—where people offered cash for burnouts—and visited drag strips in Kansas, Alabama, and Canada, running a best quarter-mile time of 10.5 seconds. While the Hellcat minivan seemed mechanically sound, it did throw a lot of tire smoke and heat into its cabin, which reached 125 degrees Fahrenheit at one point.
Hellcat Returns
A factory Hellcat-powered minivan still doesn't make sense, but the supercharged engine has gotten a reprieve. Stellantis has reversed course on V8 engines, meaning in addition to the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat sticking around, we're likely to see the return of the Ram 1500 TRX pickup truck with Hellcat power. That means a larger supply of Hellcat engines in circulation, providing the raw materials for more creative builds like this.
