Powerball numbers, winners in Pennsylvania; Jackpot reaches $815 million

(WTAJ) — The Powerball jackpot continues its ascent toward a billion dollars after being missed Monday, Aug. 25.

The jackpot has reached an astounding $815 million ahead of Wednesday’s drawing (Aug. 27).

In Pennsylvania, the biggest winner was a Double Play ticket worth $50,000. The ticket matched four of the five balls and the Powerball.

According to the Pennsylvania Lottery, more than 90,000 players won between $4 and $50,000.

Powerball officials said a million-dollar ticket was sold in Georgia, and another in Texas.

Will the Powerball jackpot reach $1 billion, or will someone manage to claim it first?

The Powerball is an estimated $815 million for Wednesday’s drawing. Mega Millions on Tuesday, Aug. 26, is an estimated $253 million.
