The White House is taking credit for Cracker Barrel’s decision to scrap its much-maligned rebrand in the wake of presidential criticism.

Cracker Barrel announced Tuesday it would revert to its original logo and overall-clad mascot just hours after President Donald Trump weighed in on the controversy in a social media post.

“Cracker Barrel should go back to the old logo, admit a mistake based on customer response (the ultimate Poll), and manage the company better than ever before,” Trump wrote on Truth Social ahead of the reversal.

The White House immediately sought to claim credit for another win in the culture war.

“8 hours ago...,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt wrote on social media along with an image of Trump’s attack on the new Cracker Barrel logo.

Deputy White House Chief of Staff Taylor Budowich said he spoke with Cracker Barrel executives and said they told him they recognized Trump’s remarks and subsequently changed the logo.

“I appreciated the call earlier this evening with @CrackerBarrel. They thanked President Trump for weighing in on the issue of their iconic ‘original’ logo,” Budowich wrote on X. “They wanted the President to know that they heard him, along with customer response (the ultimate poll), and would be restoring the ‘Old Timer.’”

Trump also congratulated Cracker Barrel on changing the logo and urged the restaurant to “make your customers happy again.”

“Congratulations ‘Cracker Barrel’ on changing your logo back to what it was. All of your fans very much appreciate it,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

At the same time, the president also posted a parody of the original Cracker Barrel logo featuring his own likeness sitting next to an oil barrel next to his campaign slogan “America First.”

Cracker Barrel’s shares spiked following the news, after dropping more than 12 percent last week after the company announced the original logo switch.
