Kelly Osbourne claps back at WWE's Becky Lynch over remarks about late father

The late Ozzy Osbourne's daughter, Kelly Osbourne, took to social media on the night of Monday, Aug. 25, to berate Irish WWE star Becky Lynch for mentioning her late father.

During WWE Monday Night RAW on Aug. 25, Lynch mentioned Ozzy Osbourne in a comeback remark to fellow wrestler Nikki Bella. The latter had invited Lynch to compete in a Women's Intercontinental Championship Match, to which Lynch accepted but said she would not perform in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

"You want your match? Fine. You can have your match, but ... I am not wrestling in Birmingham. The only good thing that came out of here died a month ago," Lynch said to an overwhelming mutual gasp from the crowd. "But in fairness to Ozzy Osbourne, he had the good sense to move to LA, a proper city. Because if I lived in Birmingham, I'd die too."

Osbourne, popularly deemed the "Prince of Darkness," died on July 22 at the age of 76.

What did Kelly Osbourne say?

In response, Kelly posted a strongly worded message to Lynch on her Instagram story.

"You are a disrespectful dirtbag!" Kelly posted to her Instagram story on the morning of Tuesday, Aug. 26. "Shame on the WWE for allowing such things to be said about my father and his home!!!"

In her social media post, Kelly accidentally tagged a Becky Lynch fan account instead of Becky's official account. In response, the fan account has repeatedly asked Kelly to clarify her mistake. As of noon ET on Tuesday, Aug. 26, Kelly has not changed or clarified the post.

Who is Becky Lynch?

Rebecca Quinn, known by her stage name Becky Lynch, is a 38-year-old professional wrestler from Ireland. Also known by her nickname "The Man," Lynch is the current WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion. She won the title in June.

Those outside of WWE fans may be familiar with Lynch. She recently made an appearance in the new "Happy Gilmore 2" movie, now streaming on Netflix.
