Jordan Hudson is poking fun at her relationship with Bill Belichick.

On Aug. 25, the company TCE Rights Management — which is managed by Hudson — filed a trademark application for the term “gold digger” to be used for jewelry or key chains, per filing records viewed by PEOPLE. The application is actively awaiting assignment to an examining attorney.

PEOPLE has reached out to Hudson for comment.

Hudson, 24, and the incoming head coach of the University of North Carolina's football team, 73, first made headlines with their unlikely romance when they began dating in 2023 shortly after Belichick ended his 16-year relationship with Linda Holliday.

The pair’s relationship came under intense scrutiny in April after the pair appeared on an interview with CBS News' Sunday Morning, where she sternly shut down the interviewer’s question about how they met. At the time, some players and friends publicly voiced their concerns about their relationship and the fact that Hudson acts as her boyfriend’s publicist.

Outside of their buzzy romance, Belichick — a longtime coach of the New England Patriots — is gearing up for his collegiate football coaching debut, when UNC faces off against TCU on Sept. 1.

“I’ve always wanted to be in college football,” Belichick told The Boston Globe earlier this month. “I grew up in college football. This is a great university, it’s a great opportunity here. The kids are great, they work hard, they want to be good, and they try. Working with a lot of people I like to work with, and I enjoy coming to work every day. That’s an important quality of life.”

In addition to the “gold digger” filing, TCE Rights Management has also moved to trademark several more terms pertaining to Belichick’s new coaching venture, including “Chapel Bill (Bill’s Version),” “No Days Off (Bill’s Version)” and “Belecast,” all of which were filed in April. The filing for “Bill’s Version” may allude to his public feud with Patriots owner Robert Kraft, with whom he has publicly sparred since exiting the team in January 2024.

News of the trademark filing comes after Hudson and Belichick were spotted on an outing in Chapel Hill, N.C., on Thursday, Aug. 21, in matching white outfits. The pair was seen walking hand-in-hand while carrying leftovers from their dinner.

Earlier this week, the duo also revealed that Belichick’s debut season will be the subject of a Hulu docuseries that is set to air later in the fall.

"It's going to feature the players working hard, which you guys do,” the coach told his players in a clip posted to Carolina Football’s X account. “It's about the players improving and getting better through their hard work, which you do. And a program starting from where it started from several months ago to wherever it's gonna go during the course of the season, which, of course, will be determined on the field. It'll show our commitment to winning, it'll show our commitment to the team, and that's our priority."
