The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to a four-year, $100.4 million contract extension for star safety Kyle Hamilton, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday. The team later confirmed the deal.
With the new extension in place, Hamilton is tied to the organization through the 2030 season.
He now officially holds the largest contract for a safety in NFL history, beating out Detroit Lions safety Kerby Joseph's record-setting four-year, $86 million extension signed earlier this offseason. Hamilton was entering the fourth year of his rookie contract, with the team having exercised his 2026 fifth-year option earlier this spring, worth a fully guaranteed $18.6 million.
In 2024, Hamilton earned a career-best 90.1 defensive grade from PFF, totaling a career-high 80 combined tackles, 38 defensive stops and two forced fumbles. He's totaled seven sacks and five career interceptions.
At just 24 years old, he'll help to anchor the Ravens' talented secondary, also headlined by veteran Marlon Humphrey, 2024 first-round cornerback Nate Wiggins, as well as first-round rookie safety Malaki Starks, who already appears slated for a starting role alongside Hamilton.
Coming out of Notre Dame, Hamilton was selected by the Ravens with the 14th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, earning first-team All-Pro honors in his second NFL season with back-to-back Pro Bowl selections.
