The Jeep brand is back at the Rebelle Rally, celebrating the event’s 10th anniversary with two all-female teams piloting the Jeep Gladiator, the industry’s only open-air pickup truck. Among them is Team Strictly Business (#129), the reigning champions led by veterans Nena Barlow and Teralin Petereit, who are chasing their fourth overall title in five years. Joining them on the starting line is the brand-new pairing of Team Fun•Duh•Mentals (#101), featuring automotive journalist Lyn Woodward and real estate professional Renée Vento.
A Decade of Adventure and Competition
The Rebelle Rally is the longest competitive off-road navigation rally in the United States. Spanning more than 1,500 miles of rugged terrain across Nevada and California, it challenges participants with eight days of grueling endurance driving and precise navigation using a map and compass. For Jeep, the event represents both a proving ground and a celebration of the passionate 4x4 community that defines the brand.
“Celebrating 10 years of grit, toughness, and tenacity, what an extraordinary milestone for Rebelle Rally founder Emily Miller and her incredible team,” said Bob Broderdorf, CEO of the Jeep brand. “The Rebelle Rally is not only the ultimate proving ground for Jeep's legendary durability and capability, but also a powerful showcase of the passionate Jeep 4x4 owners who compete. This competition pushes both the vehicles and their drivers to the limit, embodying the very spirit of the Jeep brand. We're proud to be part of this remarkable journey.”
Jeep Gladiator: Built for the Challenge
Both Jeep-supported teams will compete in stock Jeep Gladiator Mojave models. Known for their combination of strength, speed, and versatility, the Gladiators are uniquely equipped for the Rebelle’s punishing landscapes. Over the last nine years of competition, Jeep 4x4 vehicles have earned seven overall wins and five Bone Stock awards, further cementing their off-road reputation. This year, more than a third of the Rebelle Rally competitors will also be driving their personal Jeep vehicles.
Team Profiles
Strictly Business (#129): Nena Barlow and Teralin Petereit return as one of the most decorated duos in Rebelle Rally history. Together, they’ve captured three of the last four overall titles and multiple Bone Stock victories. Both women are seasoned competitors—Barlow and Petereit have each participated in eight Rebelle Rallies, with Petereit standing on the podium every year she has entered. Their consistency and experience make them the team to beat once again.
Fun•Duh•Mentals (#101): Making their team debut are Lyn Woodward and Renée Vento. Though new as a pairing, they bring plenty of experience to the competition: Woodward, an accomplished automotive journalist, is competing for the sixth time, while Vento, a seasoned real estate professional, enters her seventh Rebelle. Their Jeep Gladiator will also run on Pennzoil Ultra Platinum motor oil, ensuring peak performance throughout the rally.
A Legacy of Adventure
For nearly 85 years, the Jeep brand has embodied freedom, adventure, and durability. With offerings ranging from internal combustion engines to hybrid and all-electric drivetrains, Jeep continues to evolve while staying true to its off-road heritage. The Rebelle Rally remains a fitting stage for that legacy—where grit, endurance, and capability are tested daily against unforgiving terrain.
As the 10th Rebelle Rally unfolds, Jeep once again proves its commitment to both its vehicles and the community of women drivers who push them to their limits. Whether it’s defending a title or chasing a first podium finish, both Jeep teams will showcase why the Gladiator and the brand itself remain synonymous with off-road adventure.
