The 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning Flash gets some key options and is priced comfortably below the $80,000 cutoff to qualify for the $7500 Federal EV tax credit—while that lasts.
The most obvious tell that you're looking at a Lightning versus an F-150 is the front-end light treatment—and lack of a grille.

From the side, the Lightning Flash looks a lot like a gas F-150.

With the tow package, the Lightning can tow as much as 10,000 pounds, but towing will seriously dent the range.

With 536 horsepower, we'd expect the Flash to be almost as quick as the 580-hp Platinum, which hit 60 mph in 4.0 seconds.

Aptly named, the Lightning Flash is more powerful than any gas-powered F-150 save the Raptor R.

The charge door location, back on the fender, means you need to pull up really close to chargers with short cords—like Tesla Superchargers.

The power-operated frunk is a killer feature that we appreciate all the more after driving so many EVs with no frunk or a tiny storage box up front.

The charge door is one of the few places you'll see the Flash badge.

The Lightning is compatible with Tesla chargers, using an adaptor.
