Ysleta Independent School District was ranked seventh among the best teachers in Texas, out of 896 school districts, according to an online study by Niche. YISD also ranked as the state's 17th best district to teach in.
Overall, the district ranked 129 out of 883 for the best school districts in the state. Nationwide, YISD ranked 203rd out of 11,116 districts for the best teachers.

El Paso Independent School District ranked 393rd out of 896 districts for the best teachers in Texas, according to the Niche survey. However, the study found that it is a great place for student athletes, ranking 879th out of 9,961 school districts nationwide.
The school district ranked 284th among the best in Texas out of 883 examined.
