BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) — Florida’s housing market is finally showing signs of slowing down.
The industry group called “Florida realtors” released the last sales figures for June — specifically the median sales prices for single-family existing homes.
The median price statewide is $412,000.
The highest prices were found in the Naples-Immuhkalee-Marco Island at $755,000.
Crestview-Fort Walton Beach-Destin had the highest prices in our area, at $420,000.
Meanwhile, the median price in the Panama City market was $363,163.
And the lowest median price found in Florida was Sebring at $285,000.
Experts say it’s turning into a buyer’s market, with more homes listed for sale. The extra competition is forcing prices to fall.
