Major Case Squad activated after death in Madison, Illinois

MADISON, Ill. – The Major Case Squad has been activated to investigate one person’s death in Madison, Illinois.

Around 1:15 p.m. Saturday, the Madison Police Department responded to a report of shots fired near Washington and Wayne Lanter avenues.

One victim, a male of an undisclosed age, was found lying in an intersection.

Investigators have not yet disclosed the victim’s cause of death or what may have led up to the victim’s death. No suspect information is available at this time.

Twelve members of the Major Case Squad are actively working on this case.
