
A new bombshell has entered the TV ratings.
According to Peacock, Season 7 of “Love Island USA” enticed 18.4 billion streaming minutes, making it the most-watched original season of television on the platform.

Per the most recently published Nielsen data, for the week of June 23 to June 29, “Love Island USA” ranked as the No. 2 series overall, behind only Netflix’s “Squid Game.” According to Peacock, based on preliminary Nielsen data, “Love Island USA” was the No. 1 streaming original title in the United States for the week of the Season 7 finale.
The streamer also said 49% of the “Love Island USA” Season 7 audience are first-time viewers of the “Love Island” franchise. Peacock’s data also indicates that “Love Island USA” Season 7 garnered the biggest mobile audience of all time for the streamer, with 30% of viewership occurring on mobile devices.
The season was also a big hit on social media, with 1.7 billion video views and impressions (up 127% from Season 6) on “Love Island” and Peacock’s owned social channels.
The new docuseries “Love Island: Beyond the Villa” is currently airing on Peacock on Thursdays. The streamer says it has scored the largest audiences for an unscripted debut on the platform.
“Love Island USA” Season 7 wrapped up on July 13, with a reunion planned for Aug. 25. The unscripted series brings singles to a villa in Fiji and follows their budding friendships and romances through various twists and challenges. The American version is based on the original “Love Island” from the United Kingdom.
