Marshalls, one of the stores owned by TJX Companies, is opening six new stores across the country, including one in Central Florida.

According to USA TODAY, this new batch of openings follows Ernie Herrman, CEO of T.J. Maxx's parent company TJX, announcing in May 2024 a goal of opening at least 1,300 additional locations globally across the TJX portfolio of stores.

The company's first two stores opened in Massachusetts in 1977, according to the TJX website, and the company acquired Marshalls in 1995. At the time, Marshalls was the second-largest off-price retailer in the U.S., with 496 stores.
