Acura will reveal the RSX Prototype during the 2025 Monterey Car Week festivities.
The RSX is based on the Performance EV Concept that Acura revealed in 2024.
The production version of the RSX is scheduled to hit Acura dealers in the second half of 2026, the automaker says.
Acura confirms it will show off the RSX prototype during the 2025 Monterey Car Week festivities in Monterey, California.
The battery-electric crossover RSX revival was previewed in January of this year, ahead of its almost-ready-for-primetime reveal in August.
What We Know
Based on the Performance EV concept that Acura showed during the 2024 Monterey Car Week, the battery-electric RSX Prototype’s teaser seems to have translated the concept’s styling over to a near-production form.
When Acura pulls the sheet off the RSX Prototype, we’ll still have to remember this is a preview of the production version.
As for details about the powertrain, Acura is staying tight-lipped. We know the RSX will sport a battery-electric powertrain, but information about the battery and the motor array is still to come.
The company does say the RSX rides on an EV platform that was developed in-house.
That means this won’t share the same bones with the ZDX crossover EV, which is built in partnership with General Motors.
It also means Honda is sticking with its planned e:Architecture rollout.
Acura says the production RSX will be the first vehicle built in its EV Hub, which is based in Ohio.
While we’re not sure when we will see a true production version of the RSX, the company is saying we can expect these all-electric crossovers at dealers in the second half of 2026.
