If we had a large collection of highly desirable classic GM muscle cars, a dusty old factory’s basement isn’t where we’d put them. However, the guy who did hide his stash of Pontiacs, Oldsmobiles, and Buicks in just such a spot might have done something almost downright genius. After all, they fared better than cars sitting in a musty, humid barn for years on end.
Modified Buick Riviera sells for shockingly little.
After all, the factory produced furniture, so it was set up with humidity and temperature controls to keep the wood from warping. While the vehicles are a little dusty, a good detailing job on each one should bring the shine back.
We’d take that over dealing with rust, rat nests, and other nasty surprises like what you get with a barn find car.

The guy who owns this collection, which is comprised of dozens of rare muscle cars, isn’t that old. He started collecting vehicles as a teenager and obviously is very enterprising. We love seeing this since it helps break down that narrative that only Boomers are into old American muscle.
Try not to drool too much at this guy’s array of rides, because some of them are so desirable, it’s enough to drive some gearheads crazy. After all, he has two Hurst Oldsmobiles in the stash, which alone are enough to blow you away.
But he has managed to also collect and array of Pontiac GTOs, including one that was ordered from the factory with an odd spec so a dealership could drag race it on the weekends. Another lust-worthy ride is a 1970 Buick GS Stage 2.
These are true dream rides.
