Kansas City police arrest 17 people in street racing crackdown

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Police Department is cracking down on street racing.

“Kansas City is not a destination for anyone still trying to street race or participate in sideshows,” the police department said on Facebook Monday.

Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office grieving another loss

During this past weekend, KCPD said officers arrested 17 people, issued 29 citations and towed 15 vehicles, including ATVs.

“Officers put a stop to these gatherings, arresting, towing and citing participants and spectators,” KCPD said on Facebook.

The police department said it was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
