State officials have identified a 38-year-old man who died in a single-vehicle rollover crash Sunday night in Lubbock County.

Adan Vega of Lubbock died after the crash that was reported around 10:37 p.m. on U.S. Highway 62 about half a mile northeast of FM 1585, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Investigators believe Vega was driving a 1994 GMC Sierra pickup southwest on U.S. 62 when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway and entered the center median.

The pickup traveled back across U.S. 62 and down the shoulder, where it then went into a roll and came to rest on its top, partially on the shoulder and the outside lane of the highway. Vega was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt.

Other factors contributing to the crash were not immediately clear as an investigation is ongoing.
