Award-winning 1970 Jaguar E-Type Series II Coupe, fully restored with matching numbers and rare factory options, offered with extensive documentation.
A meticulously restored 1970 Jaguar E-Type Series II Fixed-Head Coupe, finished in its original British Racing Green, is now being offered for sale. Documented with its Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, the car retains its factory-matching engine, transmission, and rare period options, including power steering and air conditioning.

Completed on May 27, 1970, the coupe was delivered through Leyland Motors of New Jersey to Overseas Motors Corp. in Houston, Texas. Factory equipment included chrome wire wheels, whitewall tires, Sundym glass, a heated rear window, and an AM/FM radio. The original MSRP was $7,287.50.

This E-Type has had just four owners, including long-term Texas stewardship from 1970 to 2005, followed by California ownership before its acquisition by the current seller in 2008. The car underwent a bare-metal restoration, with bodywork refinished in single-stage Glasurit paint and the interior retrimmed using Wilton wool carpets and Connelly leather sourced from Suffolk & Turley in the UK.

The matching 4.2-liter inline-six engine, producing 246 horsepower, was rebuilt with new pistons, rings, valves, and seals, while retaining factory-spec internals. The original four-speed manual gearbox remained untouched, though the clutch and hydraulics were renewed. Mechanical upgrades include a RetroAir climate system integrated with original controls, a larger aluminum radiator, stainless-steel tubular exhaust headers, and a 3.07:1 rear axle ratio for improved cruising. Suspension, steering, and braking systems were fully rebuilt.

Rolling on 15-inch chrome wire wheels wrapped in Vredestein Sprint Classic tires, the car has earned awards including 1st in Class at English Motors at Fairbrook and 3rd in Class at the Dana Point Concours d’Elegance.
Offered with its original window sticker, service history, restoration receipts, and dealer literature, this matching-numbers E-Type represents a rare opportunity to acquire a concours-winning example of Jaguar’s legendary sports car.
