The National Weather Service has released its outlook for the upcoming months, giving Texans an idea of what to expect in the fall.
Most of Texas is still experiencing hot temperatures and triple digits, and the warm weather is expected to linger into the fall months of September, October and November.
Here's what kind of weather, including rain and temperatures, to expect across Texas during the fall of 2025, according to the National Weather Service.
When is the first day of fall 2025?
This year, the autumnal equinox falls on Sept. 22.
When will leaves start to change?
Leaves will start changing color in the northern part of the country first, as early as the first week of September, according to a foliage map.
Meanwhile, Texas will begin to see leaves turning yellow by mid-October.
What will fall weather be like in Texas?
There is a 40-50% probability that most of the Lone Star State will see above normal temperatures in the months of September, October and November.
How much rain will Texas get this fall?
Most of Texas has equal chances of experiencing above normal and below normal precipitation, according to the National Weather Service.
Northern parts of the state, including the Texas Panhandle, have a 33-40% chance of experiencing below normal perception.
