Fall may feel far away, but there are signs it's on its way. Coffee drinkers are already looking for pumpkin spice lattes, candy is on store shelves, and now Spirit Halloween is reopening.
If you haven't been to one, Spirit is a seasonal store with hundreds of costumes and decorations. Here's what we know:
Where is Spirit Halloween in Athens?
Spirit's only locations in the Athens area is the former Family Dollar in Athens at 415 Hawthorne Ave. The closest other locations are in the Atlanta area.
When does Spirit Halloween open in Athens?
Spirit in Athens is tentatively slated to open sometime this month.
Where is Spirit Halloween in Atlanta?
Spirit has around 20 locations all around the metro Atlanta area. Here are the ones in Atlanta proper:

Former Bed Bath & Beyond at 3495 Buckhead Loop NE
Former Party City at 2100 Henderson Mill Rd

When does Spirit Halloween open in Atlanta?
The Spirits that are already open in the Atlanta area include the ones at the former Bed Bath & Beyond in Atlanta on Buckhead Loop and the former Forever 21 in Kennesaw at Ernest Barrett Parkway.
Several more are slated to open sometime in August such as the locations at the former Party City in Atlanta on Henderson Mill Road, the former Party City at Ashford Dunwoody Road, the Stonecrest Mall in Lithonia, the former JC Penny Furniture in Duluth at Pleasant Hill Road, and the former Pier 1 in Marietta on Dallas Highway.
Where is Spirit Halloween in Augusta?
Spirit's only location in the Augusta area is the former Joann Fabrics in Augusta at 3435 Wrightsboro Rd. The next closest locations in Columbia, SC.

Spirit in Augusta is open now.
Where is Spirit Halloween in Columbus?
There are three Spirits in the Columbus area:

When does Spirit Halloween open in Columbus?
All three of the Spirits don't have official opening dates posted online as of Wednesday.
Where is Spirit Halloween in Macon?
Two Spirits are located in the Macon area this year. One is at the former Old Navy in Macon at 4653 Presidential Pkwy and the other is at the former Bargain Hunt in Warner Robins at 2192 D. Watson Blvd.
When does Spirit Halloween open in Macon?
The Macon Spirit is already open while the Warner Robins location is set to open sometime this month.
Where is Spirit Halloween in Savannah?
There are two Spirits in Savannah this year. One is at the former Joann Fabric at 7400 Abercorn St. and the other is at the former Big Lots at 13051 Abercorn St.
When does Spirit Halloween open in Savannah?
Both of the Savannah Spirits are scheduled to tentatively open in August.
What new decorations are at Spirit Halloween?
Most of Spirit Halloween's merchandise is costumes, but it's also worth visiting to try out their animatronics. Here are some of the really cool ones on display:
Electrified Corpse: A 3.5-foot tall human corpse that looks like it's been cut in half without an arm, covered in cables, and hung upside down. When activated, it shakes and screams like it's been electrocuted.
Monkey Business: A more than 6.5-foot tall clown holds a large box. When activated, the clown talks and laughs with a moving mouth, then the box swings open and a terrifying monkey's head pops out with glowing eyes.
Scary Sitting Scarecrow: A 4.5-foot tall seated scarecrow, looking slumped over with a bowl of candy in its lap (you can fill it with your own candy). When your hand approaches the bowl to get candy, the scarecrow sharply sits up with glowing eyes and screams.
Sinister Straw Man: Another scarecrow that stands about 6 feet tall. When activated, it starts talking with glowing eyes, then quickly shoots up to more than 9 feet into the air, laughs maliciously and keeps talking.
Can you shop for Spirit Halloween online?
While you can buy Spirit's merchandise at spirithalloween.com, you can only buy products from their warehouses to ship to your home. You can't buy items to pick up at stores. It's also worth remembering that merchandise on Spirit's website may not be available in store. The best way to tell if something specific is available in-store is to just visit it or try calling (855) 704-2669.
Are there any discounts for Spirit Halloween?
Spirit offers a 10% military discount if you show your ID. There are also discounts available for employees. More coupons and promotions may be available on Spirit's website.
