The Amarillo Police Department is asking the public to avoid the area at Puckett and Bell, where a traffic crash involving three vehicles is under investigation.
APD said officers were called to Puckett and Bell on a reported traffic crash involving three cars Wednesday, Aug. 13, at about 10:57 a.m. They learned a blue car was heading north and turning west onto Puckett, when a white SUV heading south on Puckett struck the blue car. A black SUV, which was waiting at a stop sign on Puckett to turn onto Bell, was also struck by the white SUV, according to police.
All three drivers were taken to area hospitals, and one driver had serious injuries.
The APD traffic investigation unit and CSI are at the scene and are still investigating. Residents are asked to avoid the area if possible until traffic is cleared.
