(WHTM) — Three Philadelphia men have been arrested in connection with a June robbery where $2 million was stolen from an armored car in Philadelphia.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, said that a Brink’s armored car driver was heading near a Home Depot in the 2500 block of Castor Avenue in Philadelphia on June 21, 2025, at 8 a.m. The driver was walking down an alley behind the Home Depot when three men with AR-style rifles approached him from behind, forced him to the ground, disarmed him, and took his keys.
The Attorney’s Office said one of the assailants stayed with the driver while the others entered the vehicle and stole the money. The men then fled the scene in a black Hyundai Sonata with temporary Virginia license plates. A third man followed in a silver Ford Fusion with a Pennsylvania tag.

Police were able to discover who rented the Sonata and found that their cell records showed they were in the area during the crime, according to the Attorney’s Office. Video surveillance from the rental site showed the suspects leaving the vehicle and getting into the Ford Fusion.
The attorney’s office announced that Daishaun “Daisha” Hughes-Murchison, 30, Brian Wallace, 31, and Trayvine Jackson, 31, all of Philadelphia, were charged in connection with the incident.
Investigators discovered that Jackson had been a Brink’s employee. He was terminated after an internal investigation.
