Surgeon in Wisconsin charged with distributing child pornography

BROOKFIELD, Wis. (WFRV) – A 47-year-old surgeon in Wisconsin was indicted by a federal grand jury on Tuesday for alleged distribution of child pornography.

According to Richard Frohling, the Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, Calvin Eriksen of Brookfield faces at least five years in prison if convicted of the charge, with up to 20 years.

Eriksen also could be fined up to $250,000 if found guilty, along with being required to register as a sex offender.

The charge stems from an investigation coordinated by the Homeland Security Investigations offices in Milwaukee and West Palm Beach, Florida, along with local police.
