Outstanding suspect in April San Jose homicide arrested in Colorado

(KRON) — The outstanding suspect in a homicide that took place in April in San Jose was arrested this week in Colorado, according to the San Jose Police Department. Kevin Le, 25, was one of five suspects wanted in connection to a homicide that took place in the early hours of the morning on April 1.

Officers responded to a residence in the 90 block of Sunset Court at 3:57 a.m. on a report of a person shot. At the scene, they found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to the hospital, where they were pronounced deceased.

The SJPD Homicide Unit began an investigation and identified five suspects:

  • Lawrence Eti, 36, of San Jose

  • Rodolfo Pinon, 34, of San Jose

  • Irma Ordonez, 27, of San Jose

  • Michael Tran, 43, of San Jose

  • Kevin Le, 25, of San Jose

Eti and Ordonez were located and arrested in San Jose on June 3. Pinon was already in custody for an unrelated crime and was subsequently booked for murder. Tran was arrested in San Jose in July.

Le remained outstanding for several months. However, after seeking the public’s assistance, police got a tip that he was in the state of Colorado.

Through a coordinated effort with United States Marshals, he was located and arrested in Colorado on Monday, Aug. 11. He is currently awaiting extradition back to San Jose where police say he will be booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for murder.
