When does school start in central Kentucky?

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Summer vacation is nearing an end in Kentucky, and the first day of school is fast approaching.

The deadline is right around the corner for parents and students to start planning first-day outfits and pick up those back-to-school shopping lists.

FOX 56 compiled a list of when schools across the Bluegrass State are set to return to the classroom.

Parents in need of a little help getting their students ready for school should check their area for back-to-school programs like the YMCA of Central Kentucky’s Back to School Rallies or the Christian Appalachian Project’s School Readiness Program. These programs and more like them help ensure students have the tools to succeed in school.
