ATLANTA, Ga. (WSAV) — According to AttractionsMagazine.com, Six Flags Over Georgia (SFOG) in Atlanta has canceled its “Holiday in the Park” event for 2025.
On Friday, the park released this statement in a newsletter:
“After much research and planning, we’ve made a strategic decision to focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences during our core operating season — spring and fall. This shift allows us to concentrate our efforts and resources during the time when the majority of our guests visit Six Flags Over Georgia — and weather conditions — can more consistently support our goal to deliver an enjoyable and memorable visit for all.”
Other fall events at the park will go on as scheduled, including Fright Fest, Kids Boo Fest and Oktoberfest.
The park has scheduled a new event called “Heroes Fest” to start Nov. 9. It will be a celebration of popular superheroes along with everyday heroes in the community.
