Hyper Kidz indoor playground to open first Minnesota location originally appeared on Bring Me The News.
A new indoor playground with attractions for babies, toddlers and big kids is coming soon to Blaine.
Hyper Kidz, which will offer three customized play areas for different age groups, is taking over a roughly 22,400-square-foot space left vacant after the closure of Best Buy back in 2017.
Aldi occupies a portion of the building, but Blaine City Council Member Jess Robertson said the property has been difficult to fill as those interested in the past have found the remaining space either too big or too small.
Speaking at the July 7 City Council meeting, Robertson said she's glad the long-vacant space is "just right" for Hyper Kidz.
"I think it's a great way to engage the kiddos in our community and it's a unique amenity," she added.

Hyper Kidz operates 25 indoor playgrounds across the country, according to its website. The Blaine location will be the franchise's first location in Minnesota.
Each Hyper Kidz location features three play areas.
The self-contained "Mini Zone" is for the 0-2 age group, with an extensively-padded play area designed for parents to join their babies and toddlers inside.
The "Kid Zone", for the 2-7 age group, features seating for parents that provides a full view of the play equipment, which includes a ball pit, balloon house, motorized revolving rides and other attractions.
Lastly, the "Big Kid Zone" is designed for children over 4 feet tall or up to 13-years-old. The area features over 20 interactive play activities, colorful tube slides and more.
Designed to be the perfect party venue, Hyper Kidz Blaine will also feature private party rooms and a kitchen.
According to city documents, the attraction could draw approximately 300 kids during peak times.
An opening date has not yet been announced.
