New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel wants to make sure some team news stays in house. Vrabel expressed his frustration over that issue Thursday, vowing to find the person who leaked a story to reporters.

Vrabel was asked Thursday about reports suggesting wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk would miss the entire 2025 NFL season due to a shoulder injury. Vrabel initially said he had nothing to add to that report before delivering his own version of Liam Neeson's phone monologue in "Taken."

Vrabel responded, "I'd like to find out where some of these [reports] come from. Some of these rats around here. We'll figure that out."

That's quite the warning to whoever leaked Polk's injury to reporters.

While Vrabel did not confirm Polk's injury, his comment about "rats" seemed to hint at it being true. Polk was expected to play a much larger role with the Patriots in 2025 after a disappointing rookie season. Polk — who was selected by the team in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft — caught just 12 passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie.

With Polk reportedly sidelined, and Stefon Diggs still recovering from an ACL injury, the Patriots' receiver depth is in question just weeks before the start of the regular season. The team could look to add a veteran pass catcher in a trade, or once cuts are made, to cover for Polk's reported injury.

After a miserable 2024 season, in which the Patriots went just 4-13, the team brought in Vrabel to get the franchise back on the right track. Sniffing out the person who leaked the Polk news to reporters may not directly result in the Patriots winning games in 2025, but it does show a level of intensity the franchise probably needs after a disastrous 2024.
