LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Jackson County Animal Control says they assisted with removing 61 small dogs from a single home Thursday. Of those, 59 were brought back to the Jackson County Animal Shelter.

Shelter workers say the dogs were rescued from a hoarding situation.
In addition to the dogs, one cat, who lived on the streets in the area, also accompanied the officers back to the shelter.
