People were shocked to see a Florida man clinging to the hood of a white Volkswagen Golf as it sped down a busy road. What started as a road rage incident in Cocoa, Florida left a man in critical condition and police asking questions.
Woman survives being shot during road rage fight.
There’s still a lot that’s unknown about the road rage incident from the morning of August 19. Some sort of altercation in a gas station parking lot involved the man jumping on the hood of a car driven by a woman, who then took off.
She reportedly swerved through slower moving morning commute traffic, hitting several other cars while attempting to throw the man from her vehicle, reports Fox 35.
Eventually, she was able to successfully throw the man from the hood of her Golf and at about the same time she crashed into a street sign, stopping the ordeal. However, the man was run over, suffering severe injuries, leaving him in critical condition.
The woman was apparently injured as well. Police say she was transported to the hospital via ambulance.
Now Dugblis Rojas Jimenez, the woman in this case, has been arrested and is facing a long list of charges for second-degree attempted murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, reckless driving , leaving the scene of a crash, and more.
She’s in jail and is being held without bond.
We’ve seen quite a few other road rage incidents with people jumping onto the hood of a car. It’s obviously a dangerous and dumb thing to do. But when people go into their lizard brain, they oftentimes just do things without thinking.
This is why getting worked up into a rage over something that happens on the road is a horrible habit to cultivate. While it can be difficult to unlearn, engaging in road rage could mean the end of your life and/or the lives of others.
