(WTAJ) — A Pennsylvania man is behind bars after he crossed state lines to Florida to meet with a 14-year-old influencer he had developed an online fixation with.
Jarred Easter, 29, of Trevose, now faces charges of sending harmful material to a minor, traveling to meet a minor for sex, and using a computer to solicit a child, after he spent months sending emails, nude photos, and “obsessive messages” to an email account associated with the child’s social media page, Walton County Sheriff’s office announced in a Facebook post.
Police note that all communication was one-sided.
Easter allegedly tracked the location of the influencer through her online posts before traveling to Walton County, Florida, on Aug. 18, where he was confronted by the girl’s father in the driveway. The father then demanded that he leave before calling the police.
Officers with Walton County Sheriff’s Office and the Cyber Crimes Unit obtained a warrant for his arrest and would later track his location to a hotel in Crestview before calling in the additional assistance from Okaloosa’s Special Investigation Section to take Easter into custody a day later.

“This was a sick-minded individual who convinced himself he had a relationship with a child,” Sheriff Michael Adkinson said. “We are grateful the victim wasn’t harmed, and we are working tirelessly to ensure there are no other victims connected to this predator.”
Easter has been court-ordered to wear a GPS monitor, not to have any contact with minors, nor have any access to the internet.
A $250,000 bond was issued, but according to authorities, he is still currently imprisoned at this time.
