1970 Plymouth ‘Cuda Has Sat For Over 50 Years

Having sat since way back in 1974, this 1970 Plymouth ‘Cuda is one interesting classic muscle car to examine. After all, not only has the owner ferreted the thing away for over 50 years, he did some rather odd modifications to it we suspect will divide people.

Classic VW Type 3 offers a rather unique look.

This is a 340 car, not one of the wildly desirable Hemi rides, although this would still fetch a pretty penny on today’s market. After all, it’s a Plum Crazy car with white vinyl top and interior from the factory, so completely restored it would be quite the looker.

Instead, it’s in a state of partial disassembly and has been that way for decades. Instead of just sitting in a barn somewhere, the Mopar has been moved repeatedly as the owner has put off finishing the project he started way back when.

We can understand the story of how the guy bought the ‘Cuda, started customizing it, then had a family and it was suddenly not a top priority. He apparently worked at a body shop and was using his expertise to make all kinds of cosmetic mods, like Frenching in the fender-mounted turn signals and moving the front wheel arches.

But we also know when you’re working on other people’s rides all day long, coming home and working on yours feels so much more burdensome. Plus, he had kids to play with and a long list of home projects to keep him busy.

With a lot of undone bodywork projects, like a failed attempt to flair out the rear fenders, this Mopar muscle car is a bit of a mess. We’re just wondering what you would do at this point if you were this guy? Would you forge ahead and finish everything up or would you backtrack, putting the thing back together in stock form?

Watch the dizzying walkaround of this ‘Cuda here (warning: if you get motion sickness, this video isn’t for you).
