No records have fallen, but attendance has been strong for the first four days of the 2025 Minnesota State Fair.

The first two days of the 2024 fair had record-breaking attendance, but this year's fair has seen higher average attendance across the first four days - at around 168,000 per day compared to 160,000 last year.

Here's a look at the attendance from the first four days, compared to 2023 and 2024, and the all-time records.

However, the first weekend last year was impacted by extreme heat on the Sunday, with heat indices getting into the triple figures. This was followed on the Monday by severe storms that caused damage to the fairgrounds that delayed Tuesday's opening.

This year, the weather is proving far more compliant, with dry weather and highs in the low to mid-70s expected through the end of the fair on Labor Day.

This could lead to bumper crowds on Labor Day weekend, which is traditionally the busiest weekend of the fair.

If the current daily average were to continue throughout the fair, the total visitor numbers would exceed 2 million, though would fall short of the 2,126,551 total set in 2019.
