Sobriety checkpoints this weekend in NE Ohio

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) — The Summit County OVI Task Force announced plans to conduct sobriety checkpoints on Friday, July 25, as part of ongoing efforts to reduce impaired driving.

According to a press release, the checkpoints will take place at various locations across Summit County beginning Friday evening and continuing into the early morning hours of Saturday, July 26.

In 1990, the Supreme Court upheld the use of sobriety checkpoints as long as they meet certain guidelines, which includes public notification.
