The saying so many repeat is that it’s always a Mustang, but this time around it’s a C6 Corvette driven by a Florida man. Leaving a car meet, the guy behind the wheel of the American sports car decided to do what so many Mustang drivers excel at: wrecking into a pole.
Guy throws a coffee during road rage incident and gets instant karma.
It happened recently at Cars and Coffee in Wesley Chapel, Florida and the scene is all too familiar. A bunch of guys are standing on the side of the road, recording the different performance rides leaving. You see a Mustang blast past, for through a turn in the road, the back end getting a little squirrely.
But the Mustang driver thankfully torque steers his way out of trouble. The camera pans to focus on an orange C6 Corvette now blasting down the same stretch of road. Then you see the calling card of so many amateur C6 drivers: halo LED taillights.
We don’t know what it is about those, but they seem to attract so many guys who don’t know how to drive a higher-powered, rear-wheel-drive, front-engine car.
Sure enough, as the guy goes into the turn in the road, the rear end slides right, threatening to send the Chevy careening out of control. Likely panicking and definitely not knowing what he’s doing, the driver overcorrects and the rear end swings in the opposite direction.
Ironically, despite the guy’s best efforts, the C6 Corvette ends up going exactly where it was headed in the beginning. As the rear end whips around, it slams into a pole as the crowd looks on with a mix of shock and glee. After all, they got all that on video.
Thankfully, we’re spared the ensuing mocking of the driver, which is customary in these situations. Just remember that, guys taking your ride to Cars and Coffee or other meets, because the people filming you leaving aren’t your friends nor do they respect you.
