Lunch by the River
Kick off your weekend early with the last Lunch by the River of 2025 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 28 at Veterans Memorial Park on First Street North in Wisconsin Rapids.
This week’s entertainment will be the Creepers Car Club, and sponsors are Rapids Transmission & Auto and Schierl Tire & Service.
Food vendors will include Chat-R-Box, Jamaican Kitchens, Rocky Rococo, The Pig Pen, Wisco Grill, Say Cheesecurd Co. and Vila’s Farm to Table.

ODC’s Better Together program
Opportunity Development Centers, Inc., will host Let's Get Together at Early Girl Flower Farm from 4 to 8 p.m. Aug. 28 at Early Girl Flower Farm, 3811 Vans Road in Seneca, just outside of Wisconsin Rapids.
Guests can pick their own flower bouquets, including a free vase and $5 off their bouquets, while they learn more about ODC's Better Together Program and how they can become a volunteer friend.
Track chairs will be available to ensure more accessibility for everyone picking flowers.

Edge of Rapids Car, Truck, Bike and Race Vehicle Show
Edge VR Arcade will host its second Edge of Rapids Car Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 30 at the virtual arcade at 3540 Plover Road in Grand Rapids.
There's no entry fee for this show, and trophies will be awarded in each class.
The event will feature music, as well as pizza and soda for sale inside the building.
Free virtual reality demonstrations will be held from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and a free race car simulator will be set up from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
