Black-and-Gold 2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale Set for Saratoga Auction

A 2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale showing just 3,912 miles will cross the block at the upcoming Saratoga Motorcar Auction, offering bidders a chance to acquire one of Maranello’s most revered modern supercars, and with No Reserve. Finished in an original black-and-gold exterior with a black suede interior accented by white stitching, this Speciale stands out for its striking specification and low mileage.

The 458 Speciale was the ultimate evolution of Ferrari’s naturally aspirated V8 berlinetta before the brand shifted toward turbocharging and hybrid technology. At its heart lies a 4.5-liter V8 producing 597 horsepower, paired with a lightning-fast dual-clutch automatic transmission. The engine, widely regarded as one of Ferrari’s finest, revs to a breathtaking 9,000 rpm and helped establish the Speciale as a benchmark for driver engagement and performance.

This example is equipped with racing-style bucket seats trimmed in suede, a driver-focused cockpit with a center console, and carbon-accented details that highlight its motorsport heritage. The paddle-shift gearbox and lightweight design ensure track-ready performance, while conveniences such as air conditioning, power windows, power seats, and Ferrari’s signature driver aids make it usable beyond the circuit.

The Speciale represented the most extreme version of the 458 platform, incorporating advanced aerodynamics, recalibrated suspension, and electronic driver systems that enhance agility without diluting the analog connection to the road. Performance figures remain impressive even today: 0–60 mph in around three seconds and a top speed approaching 202 mph.

Presented in an uncommon black-and-gold color combination, this 458 Speciale blends exclusivity with Ferrari’s engineering pedigree. With its naturally aspirated V8 and limited production numbers, the model is already seen as a modern collectible. For bidders at Saratoga, this low-mile example is both a high-performance masterpiece and a potential investment-grade Ferrari.

The Saratoga Auto Auction takes place September 19-20. We anticipate more than 250 vehicles, several with no reserve and 100 lots of memorabilia. The auction is the highlight of several events including Thursday’s Preview Day and Friday’s evening concert. Plan a trip or register to bid online.
