Pictures of Black have also not helped the narrative, as the TV star was spotted carrying a noticeably large stomach as he strolled around the streets of Los Angeles on a hot summer day.
A source close to the actor confirmed that his worrying new look is a result of his excessive drinking and eating, although he swore he would get healthy and even went as far as booking the services of a trainer.
Black really did start on a strong foot, as he was excited to share a post of him doing dumbbell presses back in January, where he voiced his commitment to "keeping up with the Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnsons of the world."

Mirkin emphasized that the actor needs a kind, interested doctor who is ready to help him achieve realistic, healthy fitness goals. First, the doctor suggested that Black needs to adopt a diet devoid of sugary foods, refined carbohydrates, fried meals, and animal meat.
When he finetunes his diet plans, he then needs to be placed on a supervised exercise program, coupled with a solid emotional support system, to strengthen his commitment to an active weight-loss routine.

Gass had seemingly told the culprit behind Trump's attempted murder plot to aim a little higher next time, which prompted Clooney to swing into action by calling Black and advising him to disband the group with immediate effect, else the consequences might become dire. In Callaghan's words:
"And so his hand was basically forced to be like, 'Oh, sorry, my band member has serious mental-health problems. We're breaking up the band for now. The tour is canceled."
Black reacted to Gass' statement shortly after he made it on stage during Tenacious D's performance at the ICC Sydney Theatre on July 14, 2024. According to the actor, Gass's utterances blindsided him, and he would "never condone hate speech or encourage political violence in any form."
