If you need bulk hot dogs, drinks or a new BBQ for your Labor Day celebrations, you may want to hit Costco early.
Unlike most other U.S. retailers, Costco warehouses will be closed all day Monday. Sept. 1.
The discount warehouse chain bucks the trend of stores remaining open for holidays by giving its employees the day off for seven days every year, including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. And Labor Day.
This applies to U.S. and Canadian locations only. Costcos in Puerto Rico will remain open, according to store listings.
Custimers can still shop online at costco.com, but purchases won't be processed or delivered until the next day.
Will Sam's Club be open on Labor Day?
Sam's Club locations will be open on Monday, but will be closing early, according to the company website. Warehouse hours will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for Plus members, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for Club members.
Will BJ's Warehouse be open on Labor Day?
BJ's Warehouse locations, which closes only for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, will be open normal hours.

Will grocery stores in Florida be open for Labor Day?
Publix, Winn-Dixie, Aldi, Target, Walmart, Trader Joe's, and Whole Foods will all be open on Monday, although Aldi locations may have limited hours. Check your local stores.

What are Costco's normal hours?
In June, Costco expanded its hours to allow executive members an extra hour in the mornings and give all members an extra hours on Saturday evenings.
The company also this year expanded its gas station hours for all members to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturdays and 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sundays.
