Ram TRX Owner Thought No Cop Could Catch Him

A Ram TRX owner really believed his Hellcat-powered truck was so fast, he could outrun any cop that tried catching him. In fact, he even took to social media, bragging openly that Georgia State Patrol couldn’t keep up, as he would “eat up” its troopers. He got a chance to try out that theory, and it didn’t turn out well.

Road rager gets a taste of instant karma.

The chase, which took place in Atlanta, was caught on dashcam. It shows the trooper notice the extra dark window tint on the TRX, the very thing the suspect said would trigger a chase with GSP. Instead of pulling over and just taking a ticket, the guy decides to run.

To be honest, the Ram TRX will out-accelerate just about any cop car on the planet, so that might have been why the guy had such an inflated ego.

But police chases aren’t just contests of pure acceleration. Instead, those who are dumb enough to try ditching the cops have to deal with intersections, other cars, turns in the road, bumps, and other unexpected obstacles.

It’s that very thing which led to this guy’s downfall.

But when he bragged about no cop outrunning his Ram TRX, he made it clear the thing not only is fast, it has “all-wheel drive” that would allow it to out-maneuver the police. We’ve owned multiple all-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive vehicles and can confidently declare all of them have their limits.

In the dashcam footage, you see the Ram TRX take to one of the many twisting, winding roads in Atlanta with trees lining it. He does pull away with ease, but the trooper keeps going, even though he can no longer see the fleeing truck.

But after not too long, he comes across a smoldering heap that used to be a Ram TRX. The collision, which we assume was with some trees, was so violent it knocked the bed off and left the cab a crumpled mess. Inside is the lifeless body of the guy who thought no cop could catch him.

We guess the trooper didn’t take him alive, so in a way the guy was right.
