FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Good Thursday morning!

The pattern of clear and calm weather has stuck around for yet another morning. However, skies will start to look different as we head through the remainder of the day.

A cold front is gradually building closer to the area. We’re starting off with sunshine, but clouds will fill in as the mid to late morning goes on. Showers will push in as the afternoon draws on. Wet weather builds in from the north, but as it moves south, will begin to fall apart.

Temperatures today will top out in the mid 70s. The cooler air building in behind the front isn’t intense enough to cool us down. But, it puts an impending warming trend on pause for a few days.

Rain chances really start to taper off by the end of the evening. Going into tonight, we’ll start to see the skies dry out. There’s the chance for some fog tomorrow morning. But, throughout Friday, we’ll see the weather clear out.

For the incoming football stretch, nice weather sticks around. The streak of dry skies continues for the latest edition of Football Friday Nite. We’re looking pretty nice for the Buckeye’s home opener, but it will still be chilly in the morning.

The rest of the weekend keeps the sunshine with temperatures starting to warm back up. By Labor Day, we’re sitting in the lower 80s with more sunshine. Temperatures warm back through the lower 80s for the first stretch of September.
