Watching some guy in Denver try taking his Can Am Spyder through a skatepark sure is entertaining. As you probably already predicted, the venture doesn’t go well at all because the giant tricycle isn’t balanced enough to deal with all the extreme angles.
Check out this crumbling warehouse hiding a horde of classic cars.
Some guys like this Can Am Spyder rider have extreme confidence not only in their machine but also their riding skills. And while highly experienced riders know their limits, it’s typically those who lack experience who consistently overestimate what they can handle.
Had this guy known a thing or two about his ride, he would’ve realized it wouldn’t handle the types of slopes that are all over in the skatepark well at all. Just the nature of a three-wheeler doesn’t lend itself to that sort of thing at all.
But oftentimes the guys who buy these three-wheelers, like the Polaris Slingshot, don’t know how to ride a real motorcycle, so they compensate with an extra wheel. Still, they don’t bother to learn how to ride their three-wheeler all that well and as a result get in over their heads in a hurry, like this guy.
When he first goes over the lip and nearly tips the Can Am, this guy should’ve shut off the engine and walked it down to the flat ground. Instead, with all those skater kids watching, he wanted to look cool, so his ego drove him ahead.
However, that ego got dumped off quickly as he twisted the throttle, trying to stay on the Spyder, which makes it take off. Launching off another lip, the imbalanced three-wheeler easily tips, sending the “rider” sprawling across the concrete.
Then all the kids rush in, laughing at the guy who was trying to impress them. If he cared so much about what those kids thought, he had to be dying inside in that moment.
The fact it was all caught on camera and uploaded to the internet means his humiliation will live on forever.
