We were all waiting for the ball to drop and finally got the news — Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Addison suspended three games for DUI citation back in 2024. This news was somewhat baked into a lot of fantasy football analysis surrounding Addison going into the 2025 NFL season. But now that we have how many games the wideout will miss, we can plan accordingly.

Yahoo fantasy football analysts Matt Harmon and Scott Pianowski broke down the suspension and how to approach drafting Addison on the latest episode of The Yahoo Fantasy Forecast episode.
After bursting onto the scene as a rookie in 2023, Addison took a slight step back production-wise last season. He finished his rookie season with 70 catches on 108 targets for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns, good for WR21 overall. That came with a mixed bag at QB; Kirk Cousins, Nick Mullens, Joshua Dobbs and Jaren Hall all played that season. Last year with Sam Darnold under center, Addison finished with 63 catches on 99 targets for 875 yards and nine TDs, still a strong finish as the WR20.
Going into this season, the Vikings will again have a new QB — J.J. McCarthy. He's had plenty of time to build chemistry with Addison but we also don't know what type of QB he'll be in the NFL. Pianowski, someone who believes it's important to get off to a hot start in fantasy, has his concerns over drafting Addison.
Right now on Yahoo, Addison's ADP is at 92.1, which would mean he's getting selected around the 7-8 round in 12-team formats. Addison has also been dropped to WR39 in Yahoo's consensus rankings. Scott has dropped Addison from a fringe WR2/3 to more of a WR3/4 option in fantasy formats going into this season.
