FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Thursday morning!
Calmer weather continues to build into Central Ohio. Isolated chances for rain have moved out, leaving sunshine instead. As the skies clear, the heat will build in for the first time this month.
We’re still on our way to the mid 80s by the end of today. Skies will be mostly sunny and mostly dry. Still, a few clouds will push in by the afternoon to break up the skies. Humidity is still here, but remains light. So, we’re feeling just a little warmer than the actual temperature.
Wildfire smoke from Canada is still hanging around. More of it is higher up in the air, which will mostly affect the look of the skies. However, a little bit makes it to the ground, lowering air quality to moderate levels.
For the end of the work week, skies remain just as sunnier. Winds out of the south, at some light speeds, will gradually push us up into the upper 80s for Friday afternoon. The weekend is when the real heat will build in.
The thermometer sits in the lower 90s for both Saturday and Sunday. The weekend also remains on the sunny side. Humidity is still at a trace, but with higher temperatures, it will make us feel a few more degrees above the actual temperature.
The hot pattern lingers into the start of next week. Another round of moisture settles in for the middle of next week. Spotty showers and storms for Tuesday and Wednesday will push us back into the upper 80s.
