The 2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer's big news is right there in its name: the full-size SUV is officially gaining a Jeep badge.

In case you missed it, when Jeep launched its full-size Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer models, neither of them wore a Jeep badge. Look inside and out at all the usual spots, and nowhere would you find the traditional four-letter name printed out. Why? Because Jeep initially thought to launch these three-row models as its own sub-brand.

It’s not a new idea to leave a make’s badge off certain models, particularly prestigious ones; the Ford Mustang doesn’t have a Blue Oval on the nose nor does the Corvette have a Chevrolet bowtie. But for a three-row luxury SUV, it’s less common.

That changes for 2026, as Jeep is preparing the Grand Wagoneer’s first big refresh. In a media briefing, CEO Bob Broderdorf said the 2026 Grand Wagoneer “will proudly wear the Jeep badge.”

In case you wanted proof, Jeep has that for us, too. The single shot at the top of this story shows you exactly what the Grand Wagoneer will look like with its fancy, new Jeep badge on the hood. This sits in place of the “Grand Wagoneer” text on the nose currently.

What else is coming to the biggest and most luxurious Jeep? A new front end and fresh wheels can be seen in the photo — and hiding on the front driver side fender is a cap for what could only be a cover for a charge port. Yep, the Grand Wagoneer is confirmed to be electrified. To what extent and in what way? That’s yet to be determined, but at minimum we’re looking at a 4xe plug-in hybrid. Could it also borrow the upcoming Ram REV’s powertrain, too? Consider that speculation for now.

We’ll know more about the Grand Wagoneer later this year when it’s fully revealed.
